David Maxwell qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and, whilst working for the W H Smith group, was bitten by the training bug and set up his own financial training consultancy.

He created the very first version of the Virtual Village Pub simulation in 2000 (when pubs could offer customers the option of a non-smoking area!) and has refined it every year since.

 

David and his small team of associates have presented hundreds of programmes using the simulation and more than 6000 managers and graduate trainees have now used it as a vehicle to get to grips with the basics of finance and business in an entertaining and very effective way.
